The annual San Diego Mensa picnic will be held at the Lake Poway Recreation Area, 14644 Lake Poway Road, Poway CA 92064.
We will be in The Pavilion, a handicap accessible location.

Please indicate the number of adults and children attending, and if you need a vegetarian option
San Diego Mensa will supply burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, and all the fixings.
Please bring a dish to share, don’t forget to bring what you like to drink. The hot food will begin being served at noon.
There are plenty of picnic tables and benches in our reserved area under the trees and covers, and there will be indoor seating as well.
We will also have a “bounce house” in our reserved area. Yes, it will be large enough for adults to play too!
There will be access to electrical outlets if you wish to bring a crock pot and we will have a refrigerator on site.
Parking is free if you are a Poway resident or active-duty military, please show your ID at the booth so we do not get charged.
If not, San Diego Mensa will cover the parking charge, tell the booth guard you are with San Diego Mensa.
Lake Poway has a lot to offer, come and spend the day. You may rent Pedal Boats for $15 per hour.
There are trails to hike around the lake. Numerous play areas for children.
There are a lot of ducks, geese, and wildlife. You may purchase duck feed at the concession stand.
You may also bring your fishing equipment if you wish to fish. (you will need to purchase a license) T
here is no swimming or wading in Lake Poway as it is a domestic water supply.
